Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what this site does and what it does not do.

What is the difference between prequalification and preapproval?

Prequalification is an estimate based on information you provide. Preapproval is a lender decision after it reviews your documents and credit. PrequalPro does not approve loans.

Does this prequalification affect my credit score?

No. The form uses what you tell us. We do not pull your credit report.

How long does the process take?

The form takes about 5–10 minutes. After you enter the 7-digit code from your email, the request is marked verified.

What documents do I need to start?

You do not need documents to submit the form. Having your income, debt, and purchase figures nearby makes the numbers more useful. Each loan type page lists what a lender usually asks for later.

Is PrequalPro a lender?

No. PrequalPro is not a bank, credit union, or lender. A verified request can be shared with lending partners you consent to. Any approval, rate, or fee comes from that lender.

What happens after I verify my email?

Your request is marked verified and our team is notified. A representative is expected to contact you within 24 hours using the details you provided.

Can I submit more than one loan type?

Yes. Submit a separate request for each loan type so the figures match that purpose.
